Explore the Heart of Organic Farming at the Grand Launch of Buluh & Tebing Farm

This July, Ambong Pool Villas proudly introduces the grand opening of "Buluh & Tebing", a sustainable and educational farm nestled within the natural rainforests of Langkawi. The farm spreads over 12 acres of lush land transformed from its original uses of paddy fields and rubber plantations into a thriving organic farm and bamboo repository.

Rediscover Traditional Farming and Sustainable Practices

Buluh & Tebing farm is not just a farm; it's a vibrant learning centre where guests can delve into the traditional and practical farming techniques that have sustained communities for generations. Visitors will have the chance to stroll through what once were paddy fields, now a poignant reminder of the land's agricultural heritage.

The farm is committed to ecological farming, producing a range of insecticide-free vegetables, flowers, and orchids that supply our hotels and restaurants. With various sections dedicated to herb gardens, organic vegetable cultivation, and aquaculture, every corner of the farm offers something new to discover. Whether observing the serene fish ponds, meeting farm animals, or exploring experimental gardening plots, abundant natural beauty and innovation are at play.

A Center for Cultural and Botanical Preservation

A significant ongoing project at Buluh & Tebing is the creation of a bambusetum, aimed at establishing a gene bank with at least 100 species of bamboo. This ambitious endeavour seeks to preserve bamboo's genetic diversity while contributing to sustainable practices and research.

The farm's primary mission is to provide our culinary venues with healthy, low-carbon footprint produce, using farming methods that eschew chemical fertilisers and pesticides. Much of our approach is experimental, embracing trial and error to refine techniques that respect and enhance the local ecosystem.

Experience the Natural Beauty and Cultural Significance

Adjacent to the farm, a lovely stream flows up to the famous Durian Perangin waterfall, about 1 km upstream. Despite the challenges posed by climate change, which has affected the river's seasonal benefits, the site remains a picturesque locale that captures the essence of Langkawi's diverse ecological and cultural landscape.

Join Us for the Launch

After the official launch this July, Buluh & Tebing will open its gates to outside guests eager to connect with nature and learn about sustainable farming. For those interested in a more immersive experience, our pricing is RM 450 per couple for in-house guests and RM 250 per person for outside visitors.

We invite you to attend the opening of Buluh & Tebing farm to gain insights into local plant life, the cultivation of organic produce, and the traditional Malay cultural significance in cooking and medicinal practices. It's a perfect opportunity for anyone passionate about sustainable living, organic farming, and cultural preservation.
